Dog Birthday Parties

Dog birthday parties are just as important as human birthday parties! It’s always fun to set aside time to celebrate another year of your dog’s life. Whether you’re celebrating with the immediate household or having a huge bash, either way will be a fun-filled dog day!

If you plan on having a big party consider…

  • Inviting the dogs (and owners) that your dog knows and plays with regularly.
  • Instead of dog gifts, ask owners to bring toys or money to donate to a local shelter.
  • Meet other dogs at a neutral territory to avoid any drama, then meet back at your yard/house.
  • Use disposable cameras to capture memories, or take iPhone pictures and print out collages later.
  • Don’t forget to have cleaning supplies ready! With so much excitement comes accidents.
  • For the food: boil chicken or steak and mix it with your dogs regular food. Keep plenty of treats and water on hand!
  • For doggie ice cream mix 3 ripe bananas, 32 ounces of plain yogurt and 1 cup of peanut butter. Freeze for a couple hours and your dog will love you.
  • Don’t forget to feed the owners too!
  • To keep guests entertained create games or obstacle courses for both the dogs and owners to participate in together. Have the dogs come dressed up and do a costume contest! Or have the dogs compete in games like Frisbee or fetch.

If you plan on having an intimate party consider…

  • It’s all about the food. Boil chicken or steak and combine it with your dog’s regular food.
  • Mix 3 ripe bananas, 32 ounces of plain yogurt and 1 cup of peanut butter, freeze for a few hours and now you have doggie ice cream!
  • Take your dog to their favorite place. Whether that be a park, to see a friend or on a walk around the neighborhood.
  • Get a couple toys they’re in need of; perfect time to replace any they may have ripped apart.

Dog parties (big or small) can be so much fun for you and your dog. It’s a great way to memorialize and spend time with your precious dog.
