First I will give you a little background information on both animals and then we will go into the pros and cons of each one. Lets get started!!!
Cats
According to Alley Cat Allies, “Cats began their unique relationship with humans 10,000 to 12,000 years
Dogs
According to quart.us, “Dogs are a kind of wolf. They were the first animals that people fed on purpose,
Now I am going to give you the pros and cons of each one. (you might want to take some notes on this one.)
Pros Of Dogs
- Loyalty
*Dogs will stay loyal to their owners no matter what.
- Always be Excited to see you
*They show their love for you in numerous ways.
- You will gain new best friend.
*you know how the saying goes “a dog is a mans best friend”.
Cons Of Dogs
- Maintenance
*Dogs need a lot of things like dog bowls, collars and more. You have to take time out to walk them and train th
- Need Attention
* If you are not the type of person to give a lot of attention, then having a dog might not be the best choice for you because dogs need your attention. They just do.
- Expensive
*As i mentioned before dogs require a lot of things that cost money so be prepared to spend in order to get the things that your dog is going to need.
Pros Of Cats
- Low Maintenance
*Cats dont require too much attention. They bathe themselves. They are considered independent creatures.
- Very Affectionate
*Cats are very affectionate creatures. A simple rub on the back and they will definitely love you for that.
- Dont Need much room
*Unlike dogs, who need a lot of space to be active, cats dont really need too much room to walk around. They do very well in small houses and apartments.
Cons Of Cats
- Shedding
Cats will leave a lot of unwanted hair around. Unless you have a hairless cat, then shedding will be a problem.
- Claws, claws and more claws.
*As we all know a cats claws can very painful and annoying so watch out for that because they will scratch if tempted. (De-clawing might be an option but do your research before making that decision)
- Litter box
*If you decide to get a cat, make sure that you clean the litter box on the regular because the smell….ewwww……can be very foul and the cleaning of the box can take you some time depending on what you use to clean it with.
My Thoughts:
Personally, i have no stance when it comes to this topic because i love cats and dogs. As pets owners, we have different experiences with cats and dogs, sometimes making it hard to choose whether or not which animal would be the best fit for us because at the end of the day, those experiences that we had with our past felines or canines allow us to create memories that we use to bond with our current pets, making that bond more stronger for years to come. Happy dog days everyone!!!!!!!
So what do you think? Are you a cat person or dog person? maybe even both, if so, let me know, i would love to hear from you!!! Dont forget to follow and comment as well!!!
